Getting old is a part of life, not exactly unforeseen..but easy enough to overlook.. I guess.
Especially if your parent is smart and bright and pretty damn assertive, until suddenly
they aren’t, which I guess can happen overnight, cause it seems to have.
She isn’t sick, she is vague.. a medical person I spoke to..
said her brain has become lazy.. overnight I asked.. she hedged, I asked again,
is this like maybe a stroke.. or something.. she
seized on the something real quick and suggested that I have mom evaluated.
Ha.
Mom may be one of the 3 or 4 people who don’t know what a blog is, but Doctors come to her.
Honest, her Doc has been making housecalls for about 2 yrs.
He was supposed to see her last week, and had a emergency..
And now.. doesn’t want to ..
I don’t blame him, but damned if I know how to convince the queen mama she is gonna have to adjust..
because talking to her today is making me crazier than my usual crazy.
well for instance, catching a head shy mule on a 2000 acre pasture seems more realistic than convincing her she needs to go see the doc.
