Tigger gets flying lessons

Published by pet under Critters, This~n~That

tig..another name for trouble..
Tigger is a 8 month old Bengal kitten, who until quite recently was known as Damien he is as bouncy as Tigger (the other tigger who lives with pooh bear in the hundred acre woods), which is to say when you throw him off the bed ,he bounces, then runs under the bed and back to you, in a circle, its a very fun game for a cat.
Tigger is a unusual kitten, I believed he was possessed, because he could disappear and reappear at will, I have sense learned that this is normal cat magic. .
Tigger has moved up in the world to Tigger you little bastard. followed usually with a wild chase thru the house until the human.. that would be me.. gives up.. at which point he casually strolls back into the room I am in, and jumps up into my lap or rubs my legs, grinning.
Tigger can open doors, any door, unless it is locked I figure its just a matter of time and he will have locks mastered also.
Tigger sleeps on my pillow, which I am usually ok with sharing. Usually. He has quit trying to knead his claws into my brain, so that’s good.
Tigger has decided that 3 am is a good time to GET UP NOW!! RIGHT NOW!! COME ON!! GET UP! So
I am teaching him to fly , he hasn’t quite figured out how flying works yet..but he will I am sure.
I am quite willing to continue suppling lessons until either he can do it on his own or he quits waking up at 3 am.

Almost winter

Published by pet under Florida

Almost winter in Florida, hard to believe seems like just last week I had decided that freezing to death
in Cowboy Heaven Montana ,was better than doing the daily being slow cook ed to extradition routine of Florida summers.
Daily it goes like this 4 am : 98 degrees, humid, noon: 147 degrees plus oh well 500 percent humidity(moderate) that’s when you step out of the shower and you have to check to make sure you did turn the water off.
5 PM: 100 degrees, high humidity(that means the gills that were hidden on you are open and functioning) midnight: 75 degrees (low humidity and your shivering.)
No I am Not joking.
Then oh my gosh the bugs, the big as frickin dumptruck roaches, politely called “palmetto”
bugs. No one in Florida admits they have roaches, you’ll hear did ya notice the new hatch of them palmetto bugs Mary Joe Beth?? How could you not notice ? I mean as they race across the floor they leave indentations.
The banana spiders that jump out of trees to eat you, the fire ants that wait until there are 5000
on your nearest arm, leg, face whatever they can get to, then bite all at once, because they are trying to kill you. I hate fire ants. But I am pretty sure I have never mentioned that before.
We have a pest control company that treats our property for termites,on a annual basis and because they are so nice ,while they are charging you half the income you will earn for your entire lifetime for this small service, they kindly spray for things like Black Widow spiders, Recluse Spiders,Scorpions.
I laughed the first time the man said he had sprayed and found 500 black widows nests, I thought he was kidding. Ha! He wasn’t.
So now that winter is almost here, where did I put all the sweatshirts…
I just love Florida.
