Pearl Harbor Day,Jesses Birthday

Posted at 10:15 am under Life, News..

Today is Pearl Harbor day, a day I cannot forget.
Not because of a tragedy, but because its the birthday of a really really special person.
My son Jesse, is 29 today.
This, brilliant successful man, a father and husband is my kid.
Jess I am so proud of you, have a wonderful day.
Don’t for heavens sake work all day!
Jess was fussing about being almost 30, but when I reminded him that I am almost 50, he shut up.
He’s to far away for me to pop in with cupcakes for his class, like I did when he was growing up.
So this entry will have to do.
Happy Birthday Jesse.

Interesting that President Roosevelt had no problem invoking Gods name.

excerpts from Franklin D. Roosevelt: Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.
With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounded determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.
I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.”

Today is a day that lives in infamy it is the 64th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day,
more importantly its Jesses Birthday.
