God vs The U.S.Navy

Posted at 1:56 pm under Life, News.., pet's Rants

Obviously, this is a topic that has particular relevance, as its now three days till Christmas..
I do have, I admit a weird sense of humor, when I read about this on Matts Blog, Broken Messenger,
I started to laugh…not because its funny .. hahaha..

But because of the Irony of the timing…

To pray — or not to pray — in Jesus’ name is the question plaguing an increasing number of U.S. military chaplains.

A few individuals (biting my tongue here) have decided that this is wrong; all prayer, they say, should be addressed to God the Father avoiding the Name of Jesus outside of a chapel.

When I was little, my grandfather would listen to my prayers, shake his head and say ..” that prayer got stuck on the ceiling”.Because it was a ineffectual prayer, probably, it was more of a perspective of a child viewing God as a suger daddy.
Which He is not.

Effective prayer given in Faith does not get stuck, in fact the effective prayers of man can change history.

There is a right way to pray, defined by Jesus Christ, and legislation by our government is not going to change that.
Really can you imagine Bush trying to push God around.

God makes Eternal decrees, and Bush tries for legislation.
That’s like Bush bringing a knife to a gun fight with God.
Persecution of the Church. Seems pretty clear to me.

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it” ( John 14:13-14).

“…that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” ( John 15:16).

Come on Navy, get a clue.
