I would like a cigarette.
But since I have quit smoking this morning,
please forgive any unusually rude behavior.

The New Year is here, and it’s a Sunday.
Funny how after all the hoopla, it’s still just Sunday.

Today, I went to the little church.
Its a small old old church, kept very well..
It is exactly the kind of church you think about when you think of churches in
ThisSmallTown, Florida.
Deep Southern Church.

I went in a bit early, and was immediately hugged and greeted,
people actually came to say hello, and welcome.
Weird.
I mean can you imagine being welcomed into the House of the Lord.
By sincere friendly people?

I will not be sarcastic. I was so very pleasantly suprised.
It was simply a warm and friendly greeting.

The Pastor (whose name is Don) preached,.
Real Word Of God, that spoke right to my starving soul.
Not just salvation,(the Baptists down here never get past salvation,
which I understand Has to be proclaimed,
But it leaves me starving Spiritually.)

Well this is a church where the Spirit Of God is Alive!
This church prays, and praises.
I am thankful that I trusted God enough to walk into the little Church.
