Aggravation

Published by pet under pet's Rants

It must be the day for being aggravated with doctors.

The Queen Mothers doctor just called me.
He was returning a call I made Last Thursday from the nursing home, the skilled nursing home, where patients are treated like family, with the additional privilege of paying them 5000.00 a month.

This doctor saw my mom, last Monday, he was late and she was mad.
In fact the last conversation I had with her, she hung up on me.
She did this when ever I said something she didn’t like, in this case it was he’s a doctor cut him some slack.
I would normally wait till the following day, when she had calmed down and discuss things with her. I didn’t have that opportunity this time.

He said she was not sick when he saw her, she was complaining about not feeling well,, she didn’t need chest x-rays, she had a fever, was on oxygen, cause she was having some slight breathing difficulties, was coughing allot, but didn’t need antibiotics.
She was dead 36 hours later from a massive untreated pneumonia.

I used the words the emergency room doctor, put in her chart, part of which were the words Criminal negligence.
I asked him if he was on a different planet.
I asked him if he was really a licensed doctor.

He told me he would be glad to meet with me next week to discuss my concerns.

I hung up before I told him off, I feel pretty good about my self control.

Bang Head Here

Published by pet under Life, pet's Rants

Like most people, I consider doctors a necessary evil.
My wonderful hubby said, I would like to get some sleep and since your coughing all night I can’t, so quit being so inconsiderate and get you’re self, into the doctors office please.

Since he put it so nicely I did.
I saw the doctor yesterday, it went like this.
Sign in and sit down, be quiet.
I did that. I called my adorable hubby at the 1 hour of waiting quietly mark, said hey
I am still waiting, but I am sitting and being quiet so you can be proud of me.
At the 1.5 hour mark, I wandered over to the receptionist and asked if there was really a doctor here.
Yes, please sit down and shut up.
After 2 hours, my name was called.

The nurse, or the person disguising herself as a nurse, weighed me, commented that I had lost 4 pounds, had my temperature taken, it was up, she checked my blood pressure, it was down , and my pulse which was fast.

She said, the doctor will be right in. Sit down and be quiet.

I don’t think a forty five minute wait, constitutes “right in”, in fact I am
Almost certain it does not.
The doctor wandered in and said, you look like your not feeling well.
I did not say, your a blithering idiot, or what an astute observation.
I actually was afraid to say anything. I was annoyed.
3 x-rays, and a bunch of money later, I am on my way to pick up an antibiotic.

The pharmacy said it would be about 2 hours, did I want to wait.
No what I wanted was the sign that said bang head here.
