Democratic Sen. Steen Miles decided that it would be nice to honor Jane Fonda for her humanitarian work with recognition from the state of Georgia.

Jane Fonda, for those of you that live in an alternate universe, is known as “Hanoi Jane”. Jane was never charged with aid to the enemy, or treason.

A person with some brains, Republican state Sen. John Douglas stopped the Georgia Senate from honoring Jane Fonda.

Freedom of speech is one of our most treasured rights.
The same right that allows us to criticize our government’s policies without fear of reprisal also protects those who approve and promote racism, anti-Semitism, ethnic hatred and other socially divisive positions.
