The gift : Grace
How can the one act that will provide salvation for the world not be called good?
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
The Basic Practice of grace is service. One to another, giving without expectations.
Grace is a free gift of God. Because it comes to us at God’s initiative, there are some things we can’t do about grace. We can’t earn it. We can’t control it. We don’t have to deserve it, which is wonderful since most of the time we don’t!
Maudy Thursday is the night that Christ was delivered to be crucified..
1Cor; 11: 23. For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which he was betrayed took bread;
24 and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, This is my body, which is for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 In like manner also the cup, after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink ‘it’, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord’s death till he come.
Jesus knew he was to be betrayed; just as my sin does not surprise Jesus neither did the sin of Judas……So then it becomes a question of grace …
If grace is undeserved, keep in mind that as your physical father wanted good things for you, how much more does your spiritual father desire to give you good things?
Believe that you are accepted and cherished as a member of the family of God.. Practice random acts of kindness to others. Recognize that God’s presence comes to you without your effort. Just your acceptance …
