Men and Shopping

Published by pet under Life

Mitch our oldest grandson is spending the week with us; he is going to Be Picking Up Sticks. After the last hurricane TheMasterOfTheUniverse decreed that this is a perfect job for his grandkids. This is a job all kids hate to do.

Mitch arrived and after a brief moment of cat, dog wrestling and some hugging, he wandered over to the fridge.
Inspecting a refrigerator full of food, he looked at me and said ” Nana theirs nothing to eat.” Huh? I mentally ran through what’s in the fridge, and offered a couple of choices.

TheMasterOfTheUniverse, sighed like an Irish fishwife, and picked up his keys. He announced that he doesn’t grocery shop, it’s not his job.
I gently pointed out that he hasn’t been in a grocery store in three years so it would be good for him.

Two hours, several hundred dollars, and a trip to Burger King later they returned.

I watched as they hauled several large bags into the pantry; heave them into the freezer without unpacking the bags.
I watched the freezer door slam.

They forgot the dish soap.

At least I didnt ask for shampoo….

FMA

Published by pet under News..

I am delighted to tell you that Stacy Harp has decided to continue blogging, she has a very thought provoking post up about the Federal Marriage Amendment.

Stacy is a very valuable voice on the net and the radio!

I enjoy her hard hitting and refreshingly non apologetic stance on telling
Things the way they are!
Gosh.. What a novel idea…

Nuff said.
