Living with unending pain is not an easy thing, it’s not something “you just get used too”, and it is in fact damned hard.

Blogging has been sporadic, because of physical limitations from pain.

For example, Sunday morning TheMasterOfTheUniverse asked me to make him a couple of bacon sandwiches during a break while he was power washing our house.

We had BLTs Saturday night for supper, and as I never know how many BLT’s TheMasterOfTheUniverse will eat I had left over bacon already cooked.
So I nuked the bacon, and carrying it to the counter had a major back spasm,
My arms flew up and I dropped the plate full of bacon. TheMasterOfTheUniverse came running into the kitchen after hearing the plate shatter as I stood and sobbed.

Then I had a good old fashioned cry. It didn’t change the situation, but at least I had the emotional release of a cry while being held by my loving husband.

Last week I saw a pain management doctor to administer medications, she increased the pain meds to morphine for long term pain, with percoset for breakthrough pain, and a new muscle relaxant that actually works.

This was after my surgeon admitted he was uncomfortable with actually prescribing medication that would help, funny he’s fine with cutting my back open time after time, but pain management is beyond him.

I don’t do unending pain well. In fact I am having another MRI today to discover what has caused the latest set of compressed nerve pain.
I am scared stiff that I am going to need yet another surgery or that the nerve pain is not repairable.
