Once-apon-a-time, the prevalent belief was that cats couldn’t be trained.
The assumption was that the cat is an independent animal, and it will do as it pleases, and not as you please.
Well, it is an independent animal, and a free spirit of course, but a cat can and should be trained in certain circumstances.
Cats that are aggressive, or destructive, or are not house trained can be trained otherwise.
I am not sure however, if I would train my cat to walk on a leash like this person did.

Here are a few tips for training your cat.
*Never penalize your cat for not doing what they should or doing what they shouldn’t. The only lesson in this for the cat is to be afraid you.
*Having a water spray bottle around is a great idea - cats don’t particularly like water, but even better - spraying a cat when his is doing something he shouldn’t will surprise him and immediately stop any unwanted behavior.
*Making loud noises works in the same way – this will also makes the cat associate his behavior with annoyances - thus making him less likely to repeat the unwanted behavior.
*the most important tip I can think of, is be patient and make time for this - training your is a time consuming and long process, but well worth the trouble.
