It’s A Wordy Wednesday!

First a great big thank you to everyone who
has/is/does pray for us.
We appreciate your kind thoughts and loving purrs!
We humbly ask that you continue to pray.

As some of you know, I developed yet another life threatening infection.
This is called Clostridium difficile, or c-diff.
The treatment for this is oral vancomycin.
Yes, vancomycin IV did make me sicker than a dog.. Err really sick.
The oral is just as bad, but I can now take Phenergan for the nausea, so
I’m not vomiting all day..
Cost is about 1300.00 dollars per week.
Again we thank God for our insurance.

The total cost for my weekly IV antibiotics is 4000.00 dollars
So that’s now 5300.00 a week.. Holy cats!
So … It is amazing how wonderful United Health Care has been to us.
We are in what’s called a catastrophic range… which just means they have
spent a lot of money on us.

I return to IV antibiotics on Friday.. It has been a nice break to have had 2 weeks with no IV’s… But!
Now that the c-diff is under control, the Infectious Doctor wants them
restarted.

Thursday (tomorrow) I have a CT scan, will get the results on Friday, and will post an update.
