Happy Veterans Day 2010
A ‘Veteran‘ — whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve —
Is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America,” for an amount of “up to, and including his life.”
These Individuals deserve to be honored! There are way too many people in this country today, who no longer understand that fact.
Not sure who originally wrote that but… its a point worth remembering.
Our Veterans, lay or have laid their lives on the line for us. Simple respect is the very least you should afford them.. No I really don’t want to get started.
For all of you that have served or are serving a truly heartfelt thank you, and God bless you and keep you safe.

I was looking at TheMasterOfTheUniverse’s medals the other day. A few years ago I framed them so our grandkids could ooohhh and aaaahhhhh and ask questions which has worked out pretty darn well… He has been off, recovering from surgery. I’ve been driving him crazy of course….
It was really scary to have him be on the other end of the recovery
road, no matter how minor the surgery. He is doing great. For which we are very thankful to God.
But the point of this post is that he is MY HERO!
He has 5 Vietnam campaign medals, Vietnam service medal, national defense service medals, meritorious unit medal, good conduct, army of occupation…….
a few others…
He is MY HERO! I thank God for him.

WednesdayHero~Capt. George Vujnovich
This Weeks Post Was Suggested By Kathi

95 years old from Queens, New York
66 years after he was instrumental in the rescue of almost 500 bomber pilots who had been shot down over Nazi-occupied Yugoslavia, Capt. George Vujnovich was finally awarded the Bronze Star in October.
You can read the rest of Capt. George Vujnovich’s story here.
These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
We Should Not Only Mourn These Men And Women Who Died, We Should Also Thank God That Such People Lived
