Diane had a post on her site about quitting smoking, and in the comments Mel mentioned the idea of bloggers uniting for one week to quit smoking. Diane thought this was a scathingly brilliant idea, and so without further ado, they bring you….
BLOGGERS WITHOUT BUTTS WEEK, JANUARY 1 – 7, 2006.
The plan is to all post on our various blogs about what methods we’re using and offer each other moral support! Every day of that week we will post about our efforts and how it’s going for each of us. Mel had an excellent idea in her comment to my Does This Make Me Look Cool? post. She suggested that we should have a “Bloggers Without Butts Week†and I think that is scathingly brilliant!
This event is happening January 1st through the 7th, 2006.
This gives you an entire week.. Im late again .. so sorry ..to decide what your strategy will be in helping you to put down the evil weed. There are many good suggestions in the comments section of the Does This Make Me Look Cool post on Diane’s site and I encourage you to read them. If you need to visit a doctor, GO. If you need to stock up on hard candy, DO IT. If you need to go buy some patches, BUY THEM. Just have your game plan ready before the 1st of January!
John and I are gonna quit. We are honestly gonna give it our best shot!
Join us all you hard core puffers.
Here’s the plan:
During the Bloggers Without Butts Week we can all post on our various blogs about what methods we’re using and offer each other moral support!
Every day of that week we will post daily about our efforts and how it’s going for each of us. If you would like to be a part of this event, or let others know, please post on your blog with an explanation to others about the event and trackback to this post with a link to this article in your post. If you can’t trackback, send me an E-Mail with your blog’s URL and I’ll add a link. I’ll keep this post on top through the end of this month and for the week of the event. During that week we can also trackback to one another and let everyone in the blogosphere and each other know how we’re doing and hope that we may encourage others to join us in our fight against tobacco addiction.
