Buying Computers The Wrong Way

Our 42 yr old daughter J moved home in February of this year.
She is a professional who works as a surgical dental assistant.

J is a pretty smart woman. Most Of the time.

But back to J. “Mom can I use your puter for a minute, I wanna… blah blah blah”….5 hours later she is still looking at stuff, and I am ready for bed. This went on for about a week….The next night she asked, I said I’m in the middle of something, give me a minute. Same, same for the next two nights. J finally got the picture. Remember I mentioned she’s a smart woman? Well, apparently not so much when it comes to computers.

Instead of Researching somewhere awesome. She simply did a search and honest to pete, I think she bought the first puter that came up, that took about forty-five seconds. She spent far more time researching androids. She also discovered Her android was not filling her need for a computer.

So she waited until I was in bed, and printed a photo of her “GREAT BUY”. I swear it was the oldest dell ever made. I insisted she try to cancel the order. Amazingly enough she was able to cancel the deal.

So J is doing some research on what she needs. Then we would talk. (Read I would talk, she would listen. HeH!)

My first inclination was to give her our old (but upgraded) computer but… she needs to learn for herself when she’s getting taken down the puter pea patch. So she is looking and reading and hopefully learning….And best of all she will show me what she has decided on before she buys!
