Some of you may remember Kathy Sierra a blogger who became a target of troll attacks that included photos of her with a noose around her neck and a muzzle over her mouth and various other Nasty crimes. She quit blogging.
Why? Because the gutless wonder trolls took exception to what she wrote.
It was and is a shame.

There’s a fellow name of Texas Fred who is pretty Opinionated about things.
Fred says so right up front, he’s not a bit shy about it.
He is a nice man, honest and fair minded.
But for those of you who don’t care for guns or talk about borders and war, or the constitutional rights of Americans you’d be well advised to stop by say howdy and move on.

Trolls however don’t work that way. They act according to wikipedia “with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.”

I detest trolls.

As for Fred using hate and racist speech, he doesn’t, Opinions, even strong opinions yes.
Our borders must be secured, and those with the responsibility to patrol those borders and secure them must have the authority that goes with that responsibility.

We have seen and heard with disbelief the horror stories from border patrols. They had better be prepared to kill those illegal aliens and illegal drug runners.
Yes that is what I said shoot to kill illegal aliens who are willing to use deadly force against the border patrol guards who are attempting to enforce the law.

Should we really forget the first amendment?

Trolls are gutless cowards.

By Heidi Thiess at Euphoric Reality

The incursion into U.S. territory last week by “Mexican gunmen” was not a chance confrontation between the Arizona National Guard and untrained illegal immigrants, but a deliberate “perimeter probe” by an infantry-trained, uniformed Mexican force, officials say.

Euphoric Reality has learned in exclusive interviews with high-ranking sources within both the Arizona National Guard and the U.S. Border Patrol that the incident the mainstream media calls a “standoff” was in reality a military-style operation, carried out by a unit of Mexican troops dressed in military uniforms, flak jackets, and armed with AK-47s in an apparent operation to probe the border defenses and test the limits of the National Guard troops. Using easily recognizable infantry movement tactics (such as arm and hand signals and flanking maneuvers), the Mexican unit deliberately moved in a military formation across the border from Mexico, while under surveillance by the National Guard and Border Patrol.

As the hostile force moved north over several hours, deeper into Arizona, National Guardsmen wearing night vision goggles were able to ascertain that the approaching gunmen were indeed uniformed (including PAGST helmets) and heavily armed. When the Mexican unit came within approximately 100 yards of the EIT site, the Guardsmen repositioned themselves in order to maintain surveillance and tactical advantage. They observed the Mexican unit sweep through the EIT site, and then rapidly withdraw back into Mexico. No shots were fired by either the Mexican gunmen or the Guardsmen. Border Patrol was on the scene within minutes of the Mexican unit’s withdrawal.

The Guardsmen, through an Arizona Border Patrol official, confirmed that the incident appeared to be an intelligence-gathering exercise designed to ascertain what the National Guard’s response would be to certain tactics. It is not an isolated incident, and many such probes have been reported by the Guardsmen assigned to the area. Though no shots were fired during this particular incident, shots have been fired near and in the vicinity of the soldiers at the EIT site in other situations, though not at the soldiers themselves. It is not clear from the uniforms if the Mexican soldiers were official Mexican federales or mercenaries hired by the drug cartels.

Since then, follow-on news reports have included statements from the Border Patrol that no shots were fired. This was confirmed today by Major Paul Aguirre, a Public Affairs Officer (PAO) for the Arizona National Guard. Rumors have circulated that the Guardsmen were not armed, and thus unable to defend themselves – and that is not the case. Both Major Aguirre and Rob Daniels, a Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Arizona Border Patrol, state that all Guardsmen assigned to EITs are armed, specifically with M16s and sometimes a sidearm. As well, there have been some contradictory news reports that stated the gunmen came “within yards” of the Guardsmen, while other reports state that the gunmen were approximately 100 yards away. Mr. Daniels clarified that the gunmen came as close as 100 yards to the Guardsmen. He also stated that the Guardsmen did not “retreat” but tactically repositioned themselves to maintain surveillance of the group of armed men while simultaneously radioing for Border Patrol agents. He asserted that the Guardsmen had followed their protocols perfectly, and that their services were invaluable to the Border Patrol agents.

The Myth of Troops Bringing Law Enforcement to the Border

National Guard soldiers on the border are volunteers deployed by the federal government for Operation Jump Start. They are not mandated to perform law enforcement activities and, in fact, are prohibited from doing so under a misinterpretation of the Posse Comitatus Act while federally deployed. They are assigned to the border mission for the sole purpose of supporting the Border Patrol – mostly performing administrative, engineering, and maintenance duties that free up Border Patrol agents for border enforcement.

The ramifications of this incident hitting the public awareness are significant. There are incidents on the record of specially-trained military commandos attacking Border Patrol agents, and videos in existence of uniformed Mexicans, deep in American territory, angrily confronting Arizona Minutemen volunteers. Hundreds of armed incursions have been documented by the Border Patrol. In one year, June 2005 until June 2006, over 250 armed assaults have been reported by Border Patrol agents, and several agents have been killed.

Michael Chertoff, head of Homeland Security, has gone on the record to dismiss reports of armed incursions by a uniformed military force as “navigational mistakes”, claiming that the Mexican soldiers were “lost.” However, Chertoff offered no explanation as to why these “lost troops” fired on American agents. The Mexican government claims that uniformed military soldiers coming from Mexico are actually American soldiers disguised as Mexican soldiers. Furthermore, when confronted with the possibility that Mexican commandos called Los Zetas, trained by U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg to support the Drug War, have defected from the military and now work as mercenaries for the drug cartels, Mexican officials have worked very hard to debunk such evidence. In an official report presented to the U.S. on behalf of the Mexican Office of Inter-Intelligence Affairs, Mexico claimed that “the Zeta army, or syndicate, is no more real than the [mystical] crying lady of Puebla.”

Yet, contrary to Mexican denials, Los Zetas do exist, and the U.S. Border Patrol is very familiar with them. In a June 2006 investigative news piece by News Channel 5 in Texas, Zetas discussed their training and murderous missions. They also issued a warning:

“These two members of the Zeta army also have a warning for American law enforcement: They are here, with cells operating in Roma, Rio Grande City and Mission – and more are coming. ‘It is not a lie,’ Zeta-2 said. ‘They need to check good, because it is true.’”

Los Zetas: Guns Gone Bad

During the 1990s, U.S. Army Special Forces trained a number of Mexican federal agents and army units in special warfare tactics as part of an effort to aid the struggling Mexican government in the Drug War involving the violent drug cartels of northern Mexico. It’s been said that “the training was remedial in nature, and did not exceed international peace time law of NATO forces training foreign combat forces in tactical warfare.” Lest we worry about the operational proficiency of such mercenaries, Wikipedia has this un-attributed entry:

“The training lasted a mere three months in the sweltering North Carolina heat. In total, 300 Mexican agents and army officers participated in the summer long exercise. Years later, unsealed documents revealed that the training proved to be no more than an extended boot camp. “It was more a media and propaganda effort then it was for actual tactical training that could be used in combat,” one of the US Special Forces Officers that participated in the effort stated. “They brought them [sic] boys here, and most of them could fire a gun already, so we just showed them a lot of video of Special Forces training from the early 70′s. We were not about to teach or display tactics that make Special Forces what they are. That’s why when I read that these boys that are ‘Zetas’ were Special Forces trained, I almost wet myself with laughter.’”

What the Zetas may lack in professional specialized training, they make up for in ruthless and savage violence. Last year, Times Magazine exposed much of the brutality in an article called Brutal New Drug Gangs Are Terrorizing The U.S.-Mexico Border, and added further information about the identity of Los Zetas.

“According to Mexican officials, Lazcano was a clean-cut Mexican army recruit from the Gulf Coast state of Veracruz when he was picked a decade ago to be part of the highly trained Airborne Special Forces Group. The unit was sent to the eastern border to battle drug trafficking. But in the late 1990s, Lazcano and more than 30 other members of the special forces began working for drug lord Osiel Cardenas, head of the Matamoros-based Gulf cartel, which at the time controlled almost one-third of the Mexican drug trade.”

Official Mexican propaganda notwithstanding, it can be safely assumed that the Zetas are a paramilitary force that has made regular incursions over our border in sometimes heavily-armed assaults. Whether they are actual Mexican federales or uniformed mercenaries in the employ of the drug cartels remains to be seen. Perhaps a small clue to the uniforms is found in last year’s News Channel Five investigative report:

“‘The municipal police, the state police, the ministerial police, the police of the state,’ Zeta-1 said. ‘The soldiers and the federal preventive police. The military on the border. They are bought by the Zetas.’ The Zeta’s tools even include uniforms given by the police themselves.”

Regardless of who the uniformed soldiers are, or who commands them, what is paramount is that our southern border security is breached by foreign troops on an increasingly aggressive basis. While our National Guard troops are effectively hamstrung by political restrictions, foreign military soldiers press the advantage. Border Patrol agents have already given their lives in a heroic effort to guard our border, and it is only a matter of time before we lose American soldiers. Is that what it will take for our government to finally take the matter of border security seriously? This is no longer a matter of local civilian law enforcement; it is a matter of national security. For politicians, no matter their affiliation, to play partisan games with our national safety and security, is a betrayal of their constituents’ trust, and the constitutional duties of their office.

Kit Jarrell also contributed to this report.

The dog, a 4-month-old Argentine Dogo, was being cared for by the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.

“He’s already been evaluated by the vet, and the vet says he’s OK and will recover from whatever happened,” Humane Society spokeswoman Roberta Synal said Tuesday. “If he’s put in a good foster home, he’s going to get lots of love and training.”

Synal said the Humane Society, through the foster parent, would maintain custody of the dog, an unusual breed, until officials determine who actually owns it. If the owner or the legal process gives ownership to the Humane Society, the dog would be put up for adoption.

“If anyone wants to help out, the best thing they can do is come here and be a foster parent,” she said.

This illegal alien has been arrested before. Records from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement show Trenta spent 28 days in jail after pleading no contest to an Orange County misdemeanor larceny charge in 2005.
Why is he still here?

A study done by a crimes profiler Deborah Schurman-Kauflin, Ph.D. Violent Crimes Institute, Atlanta, Georgia states: After conducting a 12 month in-depth study of illegal immigrants who committed sex crimes and murders for the time period of January 1999 through April 2006, it is clear that the U.S. public faces a dangerous threat from sex predators who cross the U.S. borders illegally.

Trenta, a Mexican citizen working as a laborer, was charged with one count of felony sexual bestiality and one count of felony animal cruelty. He was also charged with one misdemeanor count each of giving a false name to deputies, exposure of sexual organs and possession of paraphernalia after a marijuana-smoking pipe was found in his pocket, according to the report.

I’m sure these are the kind of neighbors we all want far away from our homes.
Like deported back to Mexico, This should have happened when he was arrested in 2005.

Cross Posted from Debbie at Right Truth

I watched President Bush and his photo-op on the southern border
today. I was drop-jawed at his comment, “… we can’t just remove
people from the country”. No one is suggesting that tomorrow we try
to deport somewhere between 12 and 20 million illegal aliens to their
native country. But to say we ‘can’t remove’ people from this country
is just stupid. We do it every day, by the bus load and also by the
plane load, at a cost of $600.00 per individual (Fox News Channel).

Be sure, we can remove anybody we want from this country if they break
our laws. Those of us who simply want to enforce the laws we already
have and pass a border security bill, are sometimes referred to as; racist, like
some have called Lou Dobbs.

Immigration is not a ‘party-line’ debate. Democrats and
Republicans are siding against other Democrats and Republicans on
many of the issues, while some Hispanic Americans want to make
immigration easier and others want to deport unauthorized immigrants.

Bush:
Too Little – Too Late

Bush’s response to our border issue is too little, too
late. Todays visit down to the borders is just a distraction from the
fact he, as Presidents past allowed our borders to be used as a
revolving door for illegal immigrants, the MS-13 gang, which has ties
to Al-Qaida and many more criminals that should never have been
allowed to enter into the United States. …

As things stand now with our border issues, with that back door having
been left open for much too long we face yet another September 11
style catastrophe. Will it happen soon, God only knows, but it will

Foreword by Heidi at Euphoric Reality

From Spanish-speaking illegal workers, to angry tenured professors and arrogant politicians, we are hearing more and more tenets and demands from a movement called Reconquista. The movement, once dismissed as extreme racist rhetoric, has rapidly gained traction and momentum among millions of ill-educated illegal aliens and well-established Mexicans alike. Reconquista gives voice to the angry demands of present-day Mexicans who mistakenly think they have indigenous rights to the land of the Southwestern United States – which they claim was “stolen” by an imperialist American government. The centerpiece of their agenda is the mythical Aztlan.

In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal “gringo” invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny.

“From whence came our forefathers…?” Nothing could be further from the truth – not that the facts matter much in their efforts to further “La Raza” – or The Race. Using racially-charged arguments to batter at the traditional guilt mentality of Americans, proponents of Aztlan aim to “reconquer” the Southwestern United States as their due. Apparently, they fail to understand that the tribes of present-day Mexico never inhabited the Southwest U.S., nor for the most part did Mexicans themselves – it was mostly open land [frontier] except for northern Native Americans (as you will see below).

A manifest destiny has been embraced by many within mainstreamed advocacy groups in America such as La Raza, LULAC, and most commonly MECHa, the radical student organization which has specifically embraced the tenets of Atzlan. “Por La Raza todo, Fuera de La Raza nada,” is translated as “For the Race, everything, for those outside of the Race, nothing.” Though that singular statement seems to sum up the demands of today’s angry illegal Mexican aliens, there is much more to their Plan to restore Aztlan:

Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent

Love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come and who struggles against the foreigner “gabacho” who exploits our riches and destroys our culture … Economic control of our lives and our communities can only come about by driving the exploiter out of our communities, our pueblos, and our lands and by controlling and developing our own talents, sweat, and resources.

Education must be relative to our people, i.e., history, culture, bilingual education, contributions, etc.

Self-defense of the community must rely on the combined strength of the people … For the very young there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts.

A nation autonomous and free – culturally, socially, economically, and politically- will make its own decisions on the usage of our lands, the taxation of our goods, the utilization of our bodies for war, the determination of justice (reward and punishment), and the profit of our sweat.

So there is a Plan for Reconquista. But do these emotional and racial claims have any historical basis?

Clearing Up A Misconception About Reconquista
by Loma Alta

Introduction.

Spain conquered what was to become modern Mexico and part of the southwestern United States in 1521. Spanish rule lasted 300 years until 1821 when Mexico gained independence. Mexico ruled what is now part of the southwestern United States for a very, very short time. Mexico ruled Texas from 1821 until 1836, some 16 years. Mexico ruled California from 1821 until 1846, 26 years. Mexico ruled most of New Mexico from 1821 until 1848, 28 years, and the southern most portions of Arizona and New Mexico until purchased by the United States in 1853, 33 years. The United States began ownership of these territories in 1845 (Texas), 1846 (California), and 1848-1853 (New Mexico and Arizona). Thus the United States has owned this land since 1845-1853, 153-162 years.

The ownership has thus been: Spanish 1521-1821 or 300 years; Mexican 1821-36 to 1853 or 16 to 33 years; and American 1845-1853 or 154 to 162 years. Almost all development and modernization came under United States ownership. Please see Spain, Mexico, Texas, California, and New Mexico-Arizona for more details.

Comparison of Ownership Time and Development.

Spain owned the area for 300 years and operated it as a colony. The central area, and most developed part was around Mexico City with much of the current southwestern United States being the frontier, relatively undeveloped, and subject to Indian raids and predations. The situation was much the same in the very, very short period, 16-33 years, of Mexican ownership. With the United States ownership, 154 to 162 years, beginning as territories, exploration and development proceeded rapidly and modern civilization came with, or shortly after, statehood.

The Absurdity of Reconquista.

Whether by time of ownership or degree of development and civilization, Mexico had virtually no temporal or civil weight of authority in the southwestern United States. Mexico never really established military or civil control over the area and it was never really a normal part of Mexico, but was always the frontier with vast expanses of nearly unexplored and lightly inhabited regions far from Mexican rule and authority. So tenuous, unpopular, and corrupt was Mexico’s presence and claim to the areas, and the Mexican government so hated by American and Mexican pioneers alike, that they only lasted from 16 to 33 years.

Thus, Reconquista is another myth, promulgated for racist reasons (it is the spawn of Mexican supremacist groups such as La Raza – literally “the Race”) much as the Germans’ “Lebensraum”, or living space, was for the master race. And, Reconquista is equally racist and equally the deranged product of irrational hate groups.

Therefore, we can dismiss the concept of “Reconquista” as a racist, hate group concept that has no place in America, or in any other just and tolerant society or country. There is no need to give any credence whatsoever to the false and meritless claims of any moral attachment to territory by radical, racist groups. They are as phony as last year’s bird’s nest.

I have been waiting for this to break! Shhh, don’t tell anyone, I
already knew about it.

>From The Washington Times
<http ://www.washtimes.com/national/20060602-121142-2773r.htm>; :

The long-fought Senate immigration bill that opponents say grants
amnesty to 10 million illegal aliens is unconstitutional and appears
headed for certain demise, Senate Republicans now say.

A key feature of the Senate bill is that it would make illegals pay back
taxes before applying for citizenship, a requirement that supporters say
will raise billions of dollars in the next decade.

There’s just one problem: The U.S. Constitution specifically
prohibits revenue-raising legislation from originating in the Senate.

“All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of
Representatives,” according to the “origination clause” in
Article I, Section 7.

Republicans — including the bill’s supporters — say this
will kill the bill, and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist says he’s
offered a simple solution. He wants to attach the immigration bill to a
tax bill that has already passed the House. It would then proceed as
planned to a “conference committee,” where negotiators from the
House and Senate hammer out differences between the two chambers’
immigration bills.

“This is a procedural issue that we could overcome,” said
Carolyn Weyforth, spokeswoman for Mr. Frist.
But Minority Leader Harry Reid won’t go along with that fix. His
office said yesterday that the concerns raised by Mr. Frist and House
Republicans are “technical in nature” and can be ignored.

“If Republicans are serious about enacting comprehensive immigration
reform, I’ve got a deal for them,” spokesman Jim Manley said.
“All they have to do is nothing. Just let the House and Senate bills
go to conference and let the conferees work their will.”

The bill as written, however, will never make it to conference,
Republicans say. Under House rules, any member can introduce a
“blue-slip resolution” to return the legislation to the Senate.
And although there are plenty of House conservatives eager to kill the
Senate bill any way they can, Hill staffers say it would likely be done
based on “policy-blind constitutional issues.”

“If there is a blue-slip issue, it is not about policy,” said
one House aide familiar with the matter. “It’s about procedure
and the House’s prerogative to uphold the United States
Constitution.”

There is some debate about whether the constitutional ban on Senate
revenue bills pertains only to bills whose primary purpose is to raise
money or whether it also applies to bills that do so incidentally.

Republicans say that because the concerns already have been raised, they
expect the bill to be returned to the Senate.

Anything that kills this Bill is good for America. This Bill would
destroy our country and they are not telling you how much legalizing all
these people will cost our country. How does about 500 Billion Dollars
INITIALLY sound to you?

Well, go read this; well written
in-depth analysis of the Senate Bill.

MY new hero, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R.-Ala.) a member of the Senate
Judiciary Committee, offered a devastating analysis on the Senate
immigration bill in a speech delivered on the Senate floor on Tuesday,
May 23. Sessions pointed to outrageous parts of the bill that were
hidden deep in its text. These include, for example, that the employers
of illegal aliens would be given an amnesty for cheating on their taxes,
and that under the terms of the law the government would for all
practical purposes have to take an illegal alien’s word for it that
he has been in the country illegally long enough to qualify for an
amnesty.

Sessions also pointed to some of the tremendous hidden costs of the
bill, including the $500 billion in additional welfare payments it will
cost American taxpayers in the period 10 to 20 years after its passage.

Senators who vote for the bill today cannot credibly claim later they
were unaware of the elements and consequences that Sen. Session’s
outlined in this speech.

This was a great speech. Please go read it…
