Well folks they did!

The Bengal Brats,TheMasteOfTheUniverse and I shared a very happy cuddle last night
when it became apparent Rick Scott’s
name will be on the November ballot for the GOP candidate for governor for Florida.
We are all delighted!

Despite an opponent who pulled every dirty trick in known history, Rick campaigned
on his guess what- personal integrity. The very issue that Mr.McCollum would have
us believe that Rick was lacking.

I think that after egg is wiped off some haughty GOP faces this morning, the message may slowly
filter through to their brain. People in Florida realize that our state is in trouble, running it like a business
that is accountable is a good first step.

Here is another clue, no amount of emotional mudslinging changes facts.
If Rick had done what you said he did I believe he would be in jail, you know! don’t pass go,
don’t collect 200.00 dollars. No get out of jail free pass either.

Mr. McCollum it is not nice to use your unique position to create a sense of falsehood
regarding your opponent. Just saying, you being the attorney general and all.
Truth is supposed to rate up at the top of your to do lists
I’d think…..

Just when you think you have adjusted to all the pain you have to live with, something stupid happens.
2 Weeks ago I was stepping out of the shower, onto a dry floor, on a dry towel, and my right knee buckled. Yes the one without a meniscus….God be praised I didn’t hit the floor, but I did hit the edge of the shower and the wall pretty hard.

Both of my doctors were out on vacation, so the next doctor I saw was my pain management doctor.
After she got done explaining what the word stupid meant and how it supremely applied in this case, she sent me for stat x rays.

When we got home I glanced at the calendar and realized I had an appointment with my surgeon that afternoon.

Back to S.E. Imaging to get a copy of the x-ray on disk. Dr Lowell read them and said you have a new fracture at L-3. Great, wonderful, the best news is that the treatment for this , is to inject a cement like material into it to stabilize the vertebrae.

He said NO WAY was he taking a chance of my body rejecting that, a real nightmare is what he said.
So a brace for 8-10 weeks, an for God’s sake if it gets worse call him.Vertebres will heal is you behave youself

I had the MRI on my knee yesterday…….
Hopefully I will hear something tomorrow from the doc.

No BIG news here, we are all just trying to stay warm….
Record Cold continues…..

Woke to freezing rain yesterday morning, so after TheMasterOfTheUniverse left for
work, I went back to bed, had 3 cold Cats
all wanting to lay on me for warmth.We settled for close cuddles under the blankies.Tigger has decided that old saddle blankets
work, even on top of a couch…..Here he is doing the slow crawl approach.

I am finally doing better, the infection is slowly clearing, and..
You wont believe that I “tweaked” my right knee getting up, and its
the size of 2 baseballs, apt. with an orthopedic next week..
Geez.. This was NOT the way to start the NEW YEAR!!!!

This is the wrong time of year for our magnolia tree to bloom.
Yet bloom it is! This beauty was picked around 6am
this morning, Tigger and SonnyBob had an immediate face-off to see who was da flower boss….

I used the squirt gun to end that nonsense……..I am
currently no one’s favorite…
